Brightline Publishes "Putting Local Hire To Work"
Brightline has published a report on the hard work that led to the creation and passage of San Francisco's landmark Local Hiring Policy for Construction. "Putting Local Hire To Work" documents three years of policy advocacy and coalition-building that led to the law's adoption in December 2010, as well as the early stage of implementation and delivery of the law's important goals and objectives.
Featuring narration from many of the advocates, workers, labor leaders, and policy makers that came together to make this achievement happen, the report also features Brightline's organizational history and overall theory of change. With policy implementation now underway through the administration of Mayor Ed Lee, this is a story that is still being written....
