Green Jobs Program

By focusing on work related to either preventing or adapting to climate change, we can expand opportunities in the green sector for blue-collar workers in communities that we seek to empower. Green For All defines green-collar jobs as "well-paid, career track jobs that contribute directly to preserving or enhancing environmental quality. If a job improves the environment, but doesn’t provide a family-supporting wage or a career ladder to move low-income workers into higher-skilled occupations, it is not a green-collar job."
Our work in promoting clean energy led to our first effort to target jobs for residents of environmental justice communities on the Sunset Reservoir solar project and the beginning of our "Green Jobs for Communities" campaign.
