Protecting and Empowering Communities

Brightline is a policy advocacy non-profit that works to promote sustainability in otherwise vulnerable communities. Our focus is on quality-of-life improvements in low-income communities and communities of color, particularly those historically polluted by dirty power plants.
Brightline was founded on November 22, 2005 and received tax-exempt status as an IRS-recognized 501(c)(3) designated public charity on November 8, 2006.
We are proud to be supported by the San Francisco Foundation, the Walter & Elise Haas Fund, and Mitchell Kapor Foundation.
